GAUSS GUN or TAU CANNON

Gauss is a physical unit for magnetic induction in the expanded cgs-unit system (1 Gauss = 0.0001 Wb). There are a number
of famous mathematicians in history named Gauss. This weapon, being powered by two C size batteries, is a very powerful
weapon, its energy beams cause a lot of damage, and it has a high rate of fire - grunts can be killed in seconds. It eats
ammo very quickly though, about 20 cells are gone in little over two seconds, so don't miss your targets. If you hold the
secondary fire button, 12 or 13 cells will be charged into it, which you can fire at an enemy for instant "gibbing". It has
a very strong recoil, so don't use it standing on an edge. You can use
this recoil for Gauss-Jumping in DM, but not in singleplayer. Be careful not to hold the charge for more than 6 seconds,
or you'll take the electrical discharge yourself, sort of earthing. Also called the 'Tau Cannon'.

Account #2

Highly accurate and yielding huge potential damage, the Gauss gun is perfect for taking out large enemies such as the
Apache Gunship. Secondary fire offers a build-up feature which causes incredible damage and can be pointed at the floor to
bounce you over high obstacles. Apocalyptic is the only word that describes its secondary fire mode damage.


GLUON or 'EGON' GUN

This is THE weapon to find, its constant, straight ray of death causes almost instant fragging. Well, the Egon is exactly
like this, arguably making it the most powerful weapon in the game. It will fire a straight blue beam of energy that will
damage anything that blocks its path, and it always "gibs" what it kills. Even the toughest of enemies will need no more
than a couple of seconds with this gun before they are turned into chunks of meat (or scraps of metal). It has a high level
of ammo consumption, so use it sparingly. Its real name is the 'Gluon' Gun, but it has got its other name because it looks
and functions like the Egon-gun in the movie "Ghostbusters".

With only a single mode of fire the Gluon gun is perhaps the most devastating weapon in Half-Life. It unleashes a constant
stream of energy, chewing through ammo at a phenomenal rate. It'll take pretty much anything to pieces in no time at all.
